The Problem With Cameras

Most properties already have cameras. The cameras are almost never the problem.

The problem is that recorded footage is reviewed after the vehicle is gone, after the copper is stripped, after the resident files the report. A recording tells you what you lost. It does not stop the loss.

Remote video monitoring changes the sequence. Instead of reviewing footage the next morning, a monitoring operator sees the activity while it is happening and responds while there is still something to protect.

How It Works

Detection

AI analytics run continuously against your existing camera feeds, flagging human and vehicle activity inside the zones and time windows you define. The system is tuned to your property, so headlights on the adjacent street and a raccoon crossing the lot don’t generate alerts.

Verification

Every flagged event routes to a trained monitoring operator. No response is triggered by software alone. A person confirms what is on the screen before anything else happens.

Intervention

Depending on your protocol, the operator issues a live voice-down over your on-site speakers, notifies your designated contact, dispatches a QPI mobile patrol unit, or contacts law enforcement.

Documentation

Every event produces a timestamped record with the clip attached. You receive it, and so does your file for the insurance carrier, the board, or the court.

What Gets Flagged

  • Perimeter breach and after-hours entry
  • Loitering in defined zones beyond a set duration
  • Vehicles stopped in restricted areas or on unauthorized approaches
  • Activity around gates, dumpster enclosures, equipment yards, and utility assets
  • Tampering with cameras, lighting, or access points
  • Crowd formation at entrances and common areas

Detection zones, schedules, and thresholds are set during onboarding and adjusted with you after the first thirty days, once we’ve seen how your property actually behaves.

The Escalation Protocol

We write the escalation ladder with you before the first night of service, and we don’t improvise off it.

Level Trigger Response
1 Activity detected, non-threatening Logged and included in the daily report
2 Unauthorized presence confirmed Live voice-down; subject documented
3 Subject non-compliant or activity continues Mobile patrol dispatched; client contact notified
4 Crime in progress, injury, or property damage Law enforcement contacted; client notified immediately; clip preserved

You approve this ladder in writing. Your after-hours contact list, your law enforcement thresholds, your call order.

Where It Fits

Remote monitoring is not a replacement for officers on every property. It is the right tool where the exposure is real but a dedicated post is difficult to justify.

It works well for:

  • HOA and MUD common areas, entrances, amenity centers, and trail systems
  • Construction sites and laydown yards during non-working hours
  • Auto dealerships and equipment lots after close
  • Vacant, transitional, or between-tenant commercial property
  • Utility infrastructure and lift stations
  • Extending coverage on properties that already have officers during business hours

It works best combined with patrol.

Detection without a response capability is just a faster notification. When QPI provides both the monitoring and the mobile patrol unit, verification and intervention run through one company, on one protocol, with one point of accountability.

Why Quick Protection

We already have the response side.

Most monitoring vendors detect and then hand you a phone call. We detect, verify, and roll a licensed officer to the property.

Founder-led escalation.

Accounts are managed by the people whose names are on the company. Your escalation contact is not a regional service center.

Documented, not described.

Timestamped event logs, attached video, and GPS-verified patrol response records. When you need to show the board or the carrier what happened, the record is already built.

Privacy and Compliance

We monitor for activity, not identity.

Our standard configuration does not use facial recognition or biometric identification. Detection is limited to human presence, vehicle presence, and movement within client-defined zones. Where a client requests capability beyond that standard, we address consent, notice, and retention requirements in writing before deployment.

Video is retained according to a schedule set in your service agreement and released only to the client, to law enforcement on valid request, or as otherwise required by law.

Texas law governing biometric identifiers and the state’s artificial intelligence governance requirements are treated as design constraints, not afterthoughts. Our configuration decisions are documented so your compliance posture is defensible.

Getting Started

1. Coverage assessment.

We review your existing camera coverage, resolution, lighting, and network. Most properties need fewer additions than they expect.

2. Zone and protocol design.

We define detection zones, monitoring hours, and the escalation ladder with you.

3. Integration and tuning.

We connect to your system and run a calibration period to eliminate nuisance alerts before you start paying for them.

4. Live service.

Monitoring begins, daily reporting starts, and we review performance with you at thirty days.

Tell us what you’re trying to protect.

Send us the property, the hours that concern you, and what has already happened there. We will assess your existing camera coverage and come back with a written scope and a fixed monthly rate.
